Ancient city of Perge

Perge, one of the Pamphylian cities, is believed to have been built in the 12th and 13th centuries BC. After falling under the rule of Lydia and Persia, the city surrendered to Alexander the Great in 334 BC. The brightest era of the city fell on the period of Roman rule in the 2nd-3rd centuries AD.

Ancient Perge is famous for the fact that when St. Paul began his travels, he visited Perge in 46 AD and gave his first sermon here. That is why it became an important city for Christians during the Byzantine period.

In this area you can see all the remains of the city. The social and cultural buildings that reflect the greatness of the ancient city of Perge are the necropolis, theater, city walls, stadium, gymnasium, Roman baths, rectangular agora layout, tall towers, monumental fountains, colonnaded streets, Greek and Roman gates.

Being part of Pamphylia, the ancient city of Perge tells about the rise and fall of many civilizations, and their remnants have survived to this day.

Ancient City and Theatre of Aspendos

Aspendos, located about 50 kilometers east of Antalya, is one of the most popular historical attractions for tourists visiting Turkey’s Turquoise Coast region. The theater on this site is one of the greatest surviving pieces of architecture from the Roman Empire, and is a monument that everyone here wants to see.

Ancient city of Side

This is a historical and tourist area that attracts everyone who visits the Side region. Side, besides its magnificent natural beauty, is a historical and cultural city that has been home to many civilizations, and it still bears the traces of these civilizations.

The ancient city of Side near Antalya has some of the most visible ruins in this region of southern Turkey. The history-rich ruins still contain three temples, an aqueduct and old theatres. The most impressive and main attraction is the theater from the 2nd century AD. A fantastic example of Roman construction at the time. The ruins have been excavated since 1947 and are still under constant archaeological interest. The ruins also contain a museum that houses Roman artifacts found among the ruins.

Manavgat Waterfall

Manavgat waterfall located close to city Manavgat. The rich flora and fauna of its surroundings make it a great place for ecotourism, such as nature walks, as well as observation of plant and animal life. Walking through Manavgat Waterfall Nature Park in a unique atmosphere filled with the aroma of  the scents of many plants, you may encounter rabbits, squirrels, woodpeckers, turtles or other small animals by chance.

The perge-aspendos-side tour was very good. They were very punctual and showed up on time. We loved the history of those places and its very difficult to do all of them without a car and without a guide. The tour offered us everything and the small group was very friendly. Ismail shared valuable information with us, would definitely recommend it.

I loved this tour. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and there was a good combination of his expertise and some time to ourselves in each place. He was an expert on the region. Lunch was lovely and they even made me a special vegetarian meal even though I hadn’t expected this or requested it. I would highly recommend this tour company.
