Dalyan Mud Bath & Turtle Beach Tour from Bodrum
Enjoy a relaxing full-day tour of Dalyan on the Lycian coast of Turkey, sailing to Turtle Beach by boat across the turquoise sea. The boat leaves from Bodrum, and along the way, you will be able to admire the Kings of Kaunos ‘ remarkable rock-cut tombs. Founded on the frontier of the Kingdom of Lycia around the 9th century BC, Kaunos was by 400 BC an important Carian town and its society represented elements of both kingdoms. The tombs are provided with food, money, jewels, and other valuable items for the kings and other influential persons.
Marvel at the Dalyan Canal as it weaves its way from Köyceğiz Lake to the beach, a peninsula on its way out of the mainland. The beach is now protected to help conserve the tortoises, famous for the endangered loggerhead tortoises that lay their eggs in the sand, as well as blue crabs. From May to September, it is out of bounds for the public. Experience a mud bath before returning to Bodrum for an indulgent and therapeutic treatment. At the end of the tour, you will be dropped off to your hotel.
